Originally from Leicester in the East Midlands. Freelance travel writer. I have lived in four countries, the UK for most of my life, Houston, Texas from 1997-1999 with my parents when I was 8, Mérida, Venezuela for 6 months as a volunteer, and Salamanca, Spain 2010-2011. In my 25 years I have visited 62 countries and counting, Tanzania and India to come later in 2013.
I Graduated from King’s College London with a BA in Classical Studies in 2009. I took a gap year afterwards to go travelling and hoped to fill this site with tales of my travels through South and Central America. Unfortunately I ended up breaking my leg in two places whilst on a Jungle Trek in Ecuador.
I returned undeterred and enrolled in a Travel Writing course at City Lit University, London whilst my bones recovered.
Started travelling again in May 2010 and visited South and Central America before returning mid-September. The beginning of October I made the last minute decision to move to Spain, initially for 3 months, but ended up staying a whole year. I studied Spanish and whilst working as an English teacher. Now pretty much fluent in Spanish, I have set up a second, bilingual blog which you can find here: http://elespanglish.blogspot.com/
My list of published pieces is very small, but here they are:
